Threads is a hidden gem nestled in the middle of downtown Siloam Springs. The shop has so many unique treasures, including the owner as one. Brenda Comer learned to sew from her babysitter at the age of five. She began with baby doll clothes and soon moved on to bigger projects.

Working at the age of thirteen, her first paycheck went to buying her first machine. Brenda sewed in a factory for twelve years then went on to do alterations in Tulsa, OK for three years. In the time following she spent seventeen years in the mission field, stationed in the Andes Mountains of Peru. With her sewing machine in tote, she sewed curtains and other miscellaneous items for most of the churches she went to.

Preceding her return to the states, her brother bought the building her shop is located in, about a year before opening. In January 2014, Threads was open and ready for business! The store is fun for Brenda, but what keeps her going is the sewing and her adorable partner Daisy. Daisy is her three year old Yorkie that accompanies Brenda to the tiny shop every day. Weighing in at five pounds and just as shy as can be, even in the tiny shop if you blink you just might miss meeting her.

So if you are looking for an adventure or just need a highly experienced seamstress, come on down to Threads and meet this exquisite duo. Whether it's the treasures you can find or just the quirky company, this shop is sure to be the highlight of your day!
