    The Clarksville Panthers are off and running for the 2016 Football Season. The Clarksville community loves their Panthers! Local businesses, parents, and supporters made the commitment for a new field and it looks great! It is named Whitson Morgan Field at Metheny Stadium. Come out and support the Clarksville Panthers as they roar through the 2016 season.

    Clarksville School is asking for a 7.9 millage increase to fund a new high school and a new gym that will double as a tornado shelter. There are lots of conversations on both sides as to whether the increase should be passed. If it were to pass, the school plans to start construction immediately and hopes to have the project completed by the 2017-2018 school year.

    Paul Harris & The Cleverly's are coming to Clarksville! This family friendly event is hosted by the Clarksville High School Fine Arts Program and will be Saturday, January 9, 2016. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, performance begins at 7:00 pm at the Fine Arts Building. General admission is $20 with students (18 and under) $15. All proceeds go to the Clarksville Fine Arts Program.

There is a proposed mileage increase to help fund a new Clarksville School, a new tornado shelter, and a new basketball gymnasium. I'm not sure if it's going to pass. There is a lot of growth in the Clarksville School District that is warranting the new construction.

    The Clarksville High School theatre department competed at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska in June. Their one-act play, "Elephant's Graveyard" by George Brant, was one of only 25 plays in the nation invited to perform in the Chapter Select Showcase.
    Clarksville was the only school from Arkansas invited to perform. Along with showcasing their play, Clarksville qualified to compete in three individual events at nationals with students from around the country. The Group Musical number received a superior ranking - the highest rank possible.
