I stumbled onto this State Park while showing property and just had to do a self guided driving tour before I left the area. It was very awe-inspiring to see and imagine all that took place back in 1862! There are Battlefield Guided Walking Tours, Historic House Guided Tours, Driving Tours; self-guided, and even a Virtual Tour and History of the Battlefield. For those real history buffs the park hosts Arkansas's largest battle reenactment on even-numbered years during the first weekend of December.
