Alma is a cozy community at the foot of the Boston Mountains, about 30 minutes south of Fayetteville on Highway 71. It is "one" of the towns bestowed with the title of Spinach Capital of the World, mostly due to the successful factories located here, such as Allen Canning Company. It is a bedroom community to Fort Smith and/or Fayetteville, located at the intersections of I-40, I-49, and Highway 71.

Schools here are excellent, along with excellent sports programs and extracurricular activities. Kids will love the Alma Aquatic Center with a splash pad, pool, diving boards and large fun slides.
