Greenbrier is a wonderful place to call home and it has a beautiful state park in it's "back yard". Woolly Hollow State Park is located just a short drive down Hwy 285 off of Hwy 65. It is a 370 acre park with everything you could want for a day trip or a weekend camping trip. It has a total of 30 AAA campsites and 10 tent sites, a bathhouse with hot showers, hiking trails, a small beach/swimming area, fishing dock, mountain bike trails, picnic areas, a pavilion and a snack shop. You can rent canoes, boats or peddle boats from the cantina to enjoy the 40 acre lake.
I love all the free activities they offer for families, one of my favorites is when they have a sand castle building contest! It is just one of the many perks to living in the Greenbrier area!
