The main reason I love Ben Geren Park is it literally offers so many options in one park! Do you like biking or hiking? This park has trails for that! There are tennis courts, soccer fields, a beautiful golf course, volley ball nets/pits, and disc-golf! This park was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Fort Smith - and is still a place I go to at least once a week! The park also offers playgrounds for kids and workout opportunities along the walking trails. With so much to do, it's a great place to hang out with friends or family.

The nature center is so beautiful and peaceful! There's a beautiful lake for fishing or you can just sit back and enjoy the view. I love walking the trails with my dog. There's also so much information and interesting exhibits offered inside the nature center building. This place is perfect no matter how young or old you are. Some people drive an hour or more to get some quiet and fresh air, but if you live in Fort Smith, you don't have to! The nature center is minutes from great restaurants and neighborhoods!

Here in Fort Smith we have recently had an incredible addition to our dining options! Tacos for Life, a company with a mission has come to town! The Tacos and Ultimate Nachos are awesome, but even better than that is the fact that they are feeding children in third world countries! I love the story and the food. A great open atmosphere with swag! Check out the website below for more of the story!

This upscale subdivision is divided into nine neighborhoods, each having their own covenants and restrictions. It is located on Hwy 71 South between Fort Smith and Greenwood, AR. Home prices range from about $150,000 to well over $1,000,000. Greenwood schools are one of the premier districts in the state. They have been rated above average in school quality and college readiness as compared to other schools in the state. Riley Farms has large lots and mature trees, a real country feeling for a city subdivision.

My wife and I recently had a night out from the kids. Although it didn't last long, we were able to sit down at Bricktown Brewery in Downtown Fort Smith. The weather was perfect and we sat outside and listened to the rustle of the downtown night life of our slower paced city. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich and I ordered the "Uber Cheeseburger"; it was awesome. We drank sweet tea (no lemon for me) under the cafe lights and enjoyed the night. If you are in the area on a Saturday night definitely stop into Bricktown. They have local brews and other favorites on tap as well. For my wife and I being low key is great when you escape the four kids! Go to Bricktown and eat a burger!

If you have read the book or seen the movie, True Grit, then you know a little about Fort Smith. Fort Smith is located on the Arkansas River which separates Arkansas from Oklahoma. It was the last point of civilization before heading into Indian Territory, where outlaws hid out. A city with the history of the old west, today Fort Smith is a thriving, growing city and the second largest city in Arkansas.
