After spending some time in the small town of Lincoln, I couldn't resist getting a photo of the "Red Apple Sign" and gathering more information on the annual Arkansas Apple Festival! Enjoyed since 1976 on Lincoln Square, it is a way to applaud the apple harvest and pay tribute to the region's agricultural inheritance. Hosted by the area Chamber of Commerce and the Masonic Lodge, the Arkansas Apple Festival is held the first weekend in October and features an array of activities, including arts & crafts, a parade, family entertainment/games,  various types of foods and, of course, many of your favorite apple treats!
