    If you're new to exploring Eureka Springs, the Blue Spring Heritage Center is a must-see!
    It includes the largest spring in Northwest Arkansas, with about 38 million gallons of water flowing every day. The site also has a fascinating history.

    As history tells it, the bluff shelter at the site was a stopover on the Trail of Tears. American Indian elders visited Blue Spring for important ceremonies. The bluff shelter served not only as a refuge, but also a sacred place for ritual.

    Today, the bluff shelter is on the National Register of Historic Places. Beyond the history lesson, you can enjoy 33 acres of beautiful native gardens, plans and blooms. This is a fascinating place to visit.

    Eureka Springs is a quaint town that will charm tourists and new Northwest Arkansas residents. If you're ever looking for a unique place to stay, you might consider Livingston Junction Caboose Lodges in Eureka Springs. You'll actually sleep in a historic caboose fashioned from rolling stock and furnished elegantly for your comfort. The cabooses are tucked in the woods and offer great views. It's easy to imagine what this historic railroad site may have been like many years ago.

    The name Livingston Junction comes from the name of the view below you - Livingston Hollow. That is the location of the original railroad junction from Seligman to Harrison. That original junction also spurred off to Eureka Springs.
  • Eureka Springs features the annual Corvette Weekend which is enjoyed by many visitors. It takes place when the trees start to take on fall colors and the temperatures drop after the rains start to come through. Usually it is a crisp, beautiful, sunny day and is a weekend you may have to wear a light jacket. I love this time of year in the Ozarks and always look forward to a typical "very long" fall season. This is, in my opinion, the best time of year to be in Eureka Springs.

    This weekend, October 2-5, is the 24th Annual Corvette Weekend. Lots and lots of Corvettes will be in town enjoying Eureka Springs and all that we have to offer. Admission is free, so come enjoy this wonderful fall event.
