The Heber Springs Commercial Historic District is the heart of Heber Springs, Arkansas. It feels like something out of a movie driving dowtown. When the Christmas Parade, Homecoming Parade, or Old Soldiers Reunion comes to town, the community comes together and it is a beautiful sight. Every year, the town holds the Trail of Holiday Lights, where before the parade, the lawn of the Cleburne County Courthouse is flooded with the citizens of Heber Springs to see the lighting of the historical building. The district runs along Main Street, between Broadway and 6th Street, including several buildings along some of the cross streets. There are small businesses that are staples to the community along Main Street. The area was developed beginning in 1881, and grew in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, featuring a diversity of commercial architecture from that period. The Morton Building at 101 South 3rd Street, is the city's oldest surviving commercial building, built in 1895.
